Our Aims, Ethos and Values

Serving the local area, including Betchworth, Buckland, Dorking and Reigate the Nursery operates from its own purpose-built building on the site of the North Downs Primary School in Betchworth. The Nursery has charitable status and is run by a volunteer management committee.  Our aim is to enhance the development and education of Pre-school children and to set the children in our care on the road to literacy and numeracy with a belief and confidence in their own abilities. Above all, we believe that learning should be enjoyable and we will bring out the very best in the children in our care by providing a family atmosphere. We aim to provide guidance given with tolerance, patience, fairness, acceptance, approval, friendship and encouragement. We strive to provide the very best safe, happy and friendly environment that will encourage our children to explore and learn. Our Nursery is a place where discovery is extended into learning through the experience of the child and the response of the adult.

Nursery Staff

Our staff team comprises of a Child Protection Officer, a Deputy Child Protection Officer,
a Behaviour Management Officer, a Special Education Needs Co-ordinator and  qualified Paediatric first-aiders.
