Father’s Day!

We’ve been very busy making some cards for our dads. We set out a plan and let the children take the lead with support when needed. Some children followed the example, some children added their own ideas and some were abstract, but we celebrate this individuality. We didn’t want 36 identical cards! It was also a great way to practise our mark making skills as all children were asked to sign their cards.

So they would be a surprise we decided to visit our local post office and post the cards. Luckily we had glorious sunshine to do this as the next couple of days were very soggy. We had lots of fun spotting diggers, dogs and nature. The children were all fantastic listeners knowing at some points we have to listen well to stay safe.
