Pumpkins and bread making!

We’ve had another great week. Our lovely Amy donated some casperita pumpkins to the nursery and each child got to decorate one for Halloween. They looked so sparkly! 
We also had another baking week, this time we made bread. Lots of fun was had measuring, mixing and of course kneading the dough. The smell was amazing and we hoped you all enjoyed it! 

We followed a simple recipe…..

250g strong white flour, 7g sachet of fast acting yeast, 150ml warm water and 1tsp salt.
Method: Pre-heat the oven to 200 degrees. Line a baking tray with parchment. Put flour, salt and yeast into a bowl and mix. Pour in water and mix. Tip the dough onto a floured surface and knead. Do this for 8-10 minutes until the dough is stretchy. Divide the dough into 6 pieces and shape. Leave on a tray in a warm area for 30-45 minutes, until nearly double the size. Bake the rolls for 20-22 minutes.
